The Robert Briner Impact Award

Most Recent Recipient - Pat Boone

Pat Boone, legendary award-winning recording artist, author, actor and humanitarian was awarded the Briner Impact Award at a ceremony at Biola University in Los Angeles. In attendance were members of his family including his daughters Debby and Lindy.

"Pat has lived Bob's ideals in the field of popular entertainment and music. He's a great example to young people of how far hard work and a commitment to excellence can take you," noted Tom Halleen, Founding Dean of Biola University's School of Cinema & Media Arts.

"I know Bob would be pleased to have a man of Pat’s accomplishments receiving this award," noted Briner's widow Marty who also serves on the awards committee, "but more importantly he'd be proud of the kind of character Pat so obviously exhibits."

Boone was honored at a dinner held in his honor at Biola and the program featured video greetings from Alice Cooper, Amy Grant, Dan Haseltine of Jars of Clay, record executive Mike Curb and others.
